Cancun, December 20, 2011, Original Resorts, a leading Mexican hospitality brand, continues its strategic plan to expand with the opening of its new clothing optional resort on March 30th, 2012. Following after the first clothing optional hotel of the group: Desire Resort & Spa Riviera Maya, this five-star hotel complex, located on a beautiful beach of Puerto Morelos, will be named Desire Pearl Resort & Spa, Riviera Maya and become an exclusive couples only hotel, marking the brand's fifth concept resort in Mexico.

Mr. Rodrigo de la Peña, President of the group, today announced that after his successful negotiations with the owners of the hotel, known as Ceiba del Mar, the property will be operated by Original Resorts Group to offer a second clothing optional lodging option in the Riviera Maya as of March 30th, 2012.

The decision to transform this hotel into Desire Pearl comes from the high demand of the unique clothing optional concept that until now only Desire Resort & Spa Riviera Maya is set to offer in Mexico. Thus, the new Desire Pearl represents an excellent option for the couples, who seek the blend of privacy, luxury, and sensual amenities for their most unbelievable vacation in the Mexican Caribbean.

Ceiba del Mar is to become a LS clothing optional resort. At the time there were 3 options as to who would be operating it.

Today the news became public in a press release from original resorts that they would be taking it over as from March 30th.

Information I've heard is that it will be priced at some point between Temptation and Desire. Remains to be seen whether this turns out to be the case.

Because of the pending name change I have changed the name of the forum too.

So does this hotel appeal to you? Do you think you would stay here over TTR or Desire?

Personally we prefer TTR for several reasons:

The size of the resort: I'm more of a people person so I prefer the larger resort, 300 rooms vs 100 rooms

Price: TTR vs clothing optional. Since I wear little more then dental floss for bottoms, and most I wear are see thru mesh. I'm very happy being able to spend 2 weeks at TTR vs one week at a clothing optional resort, and I still go home with no tan lines.

Staff: We have been staying at TTR for the past 11 years, and we love going back each year and seeing our TTR family

Swinging: This is not part of our agenda when we're on vacation. If it happens while on vacation, that's nice, if not, that's fine also

Location: Although TTR is not in the heart of the hotel zone, heading downtown or to Centro (The Center where the clubs are) is only a short bus or taxi ride away

Management: The TTR management has been fantastic over the years. We have a very good working relationship with them when it comes to doing photo shoots for my website

The other thread said $500 a night, once again, I'll keep my mesh on at TTR for 1/2 the price
