Swimming with whale sharks?

I am curious of how many people have gone swimming with the whale sharks? We went last year at the end of july and it was truly an amazing experience. We had a bad weather day which made for a long boat ride and difficult swimming once we got out there but still a great memory. I hear it can be hit or miss but we had an overabundance of fish to see!

I swam with sting rays once and 6 months later Steve Irwin the crazy croc and snake guy gets killed by one. All I could think was holy crap no one ever mentioned they could harpoon you to death lol. Ill pass on swimming with anything with the word shark in its name

We went last August out of Isla Mujerus. Absolutely the coolest thing we have done in Mexico ( except maybe an eightsome at the Desire Hottub)
We would highly reccomend the trip!
